The taxi driver had a huge smile on his face and rushed out to help us with our bags. So courteous!

We then told him our destination, which was only about a 10 minute drive away. Realizing we were not a big fare going to the airport, his smile dropped and he wouldn’t speak to us the rest of the trip. Needless to say, he didn’t help with the bags when we arrived at our destination, and just dropped us off at the intersection.

Shanghai, it’s good to be home!

But even better than bitter taxi drivers are my favorite Shanghai food, xiaolongbao 小笼包. These little pork soup filled steamed buns served in bamboo baskets are cheap, delicious, and addictive.
