Rock Taco Doritos
“Rock Taco” flavoured Doritos are almost as extreme as they sound. They don’t taste much like a taco, more like an extra spicy barbecue Dorito. Still pretty tasty though.
I also like the cool new bag design, complete with can of spray paint at the bottom implying that graffiti artists in America eat these all the time. I think the D³ is there to warn that these are the most extreme Doritos. Another bag at the store had a D², but it was just regular nacho cheese flavour.
Over here we have Doritos: Late Night Tacos at Midnight…and they suck, big time. It’s probably because they don’t have the fancy D3 logo.

I’m starting to wonder what the Doritos marketing people are trying to say. With the D3 ROCK TACO design, they’re clearly trying to seem ‘hip’ and target young urbanites… but this “Late Night Tacos at Midnight” has me a bit baffled. What is the demographic this ad is targetting? I’m not sure what some neon Vegas hotel sign has to do with Doritos… and Late night? Midnight tacos? What?!
