My new favourite snack: Pee Pee coconut chips from Thailand! Second only to dried mango.

Ellen’s colleague gave her this loaf of “coal” bread as a little gift. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never had or even heard of black bread before.

I figured that it would be white on the inside, but nope:

In the picture it looks a bit green or something, but it actually was completely black. I was almost afraid to eat it, but it turns out it was pretty good. Very fresh, and – like a lot of Asian breads – sweet.

Lots of sales at the grocery store this weekend!

Continuing in the tradition of posting about weird chips sold in China, I came across these “Natural Ocean” Pringles “Limited Edition” Seaweed flavour chips at the local grocery store and decided to give them a shot. Limited edition. They must be good.

Well, the first sign that this may not be the case was when I opened the can to find that they were all green in colour.

Opening a can to find green Pringles just doesn’t seem right. I could see maybe having some green ‘seaweed flavour’ seasoning on the chips, but completely green? And such a fake looking green?

I could look past this if they tasted good, but no. They taste like pure MSG. In fact, I’m pretty sure they are just pure MSG.

Nothing beats the heat like corn on the cob flavored ice-cream…

Lucky day! Ordered roast duck at this Hong Kong style restaurant and they left the head. Not much meat, but it was pretty crispy.
